My MUET speaking experience - Confident is Everything!

Today my alarm rang differ than the other days which was 6 in the morning. The funny thing was, I set my alarm 3 times in handphone and once in my lovely table clock. You might curious about too many alarm huh? heheh….I tell you. Usually I will set my alarm with my favourite song and it comes to the opposite objective. I will sing along the song in my deep sleep (Dream) and the time past me by without waken me up.So? to avoid this thing happen again today, I do so. Okay I will stop about this alarm thing. Back to my MUET experiences which my exam slip show that I have to be in the exam hall or class on 7.30am, 12 October 2011.According to my exam slip, I was excitedly woke up on 6 in the morning. Aaaarrghh….I took the cold shower and had my breakfast like the world might end(fast and furious) but as usual the nature calling needs me to go to toilet even though it was already 6:55, so I message Cherise(same group for speaking) to go the exam room about 7.05am but my watch shown that it was 7.10am already (so sorry for late Cherise).

So beside here was the picture I took through my room’s windows while I was eating my breakfast . I was shivering after taking my bath(still have to take a bath even it was cold …okay).Almost everyone was still having their dream in my thought but there are already some of them walking around the veranda.

So after I took short errand with Cherise to the exam room, there are 2 person from Polimas, I’m sure enough whom not from IPDA. They were walking around the ground floor just to find the room(pity of them)instead of walking up stairs to the 2nd floor which are the exact room. Cherise and I was the 1st person arrived and welcomed by En. Zul(our staff) and asked to get inside the quarantine room. My hearted started to beats like it might come out and run away(still having child thought…LoL…) After sign and wrote our name to the registration form the rest of the candidates from Polimas came and eventually only 4 of us from IPDA that session. This picture beside was took after I’m trying to relax and read something for the last moment before the War Begin!

Wait..! I haven’t tell about my regret about woke up early like mad people right? So the fact was, Cherise and me was the the last group for the 1st session today…still not get it? My group will get to the exam room on 10.30am….aaarrghhh….what a waste(not really…actually) 3 hours and half trying to read something but it was just cannot digest by my nervous mind(everything….lol)…. 3 and half hours just seems were torturing me since nothing can’t do. 10 groups so there were suppose to have 20 people but…arrghhh there a BUT….1 was mising, lol I mean didn’t come.Hence, my group only 3 candidates and I’m lucky enough to be the candidates C (yeah…thanks God).

Lastly, the 9th group done theirs and the world war 3 begun! A Chinese woman and a Malay man sat beside us and I tend to be relax with kept smiling(I felt like I’d smiled look alike the fish on the Smiling Sardine Can). Tadaaa…..the Task was EASy breezy cover me! It was about “Helping children in Hospital” and my point was about “helping their studies”. I’m a wannabe teacher and I knows the importance of studies.Cheris’s point was about “Fun activity”. The examiners said “let’s start our task A with candidate A” something like that. Those moment, I felt like I’m so lucky to be the candidates C, which enabled be to list out mind 3 points. The candidate A seems not ready at all. I’m not trying to say that I’m better than her but, she took about 5 minutes to breath after the examiners told us to begin. Her point was about reading for the children and it’s quite hard to relate with the main subject. I don’t even prepared enough with the time limits but fortunately I’d done my conclusion right after the examiners said time up! Thanks God again  since the TASK B ran smoothly as it was suppose to be. Unfortunately the candidate A didn’t talk so much compared to Cherise and me. Yeah thumbs up. Cherise and me enjoyed discussing the topic, plus still smiling like nothing happening though. Once again the miracle happened, I’ve done the closing speech with a conclusion right after the examiners stop the timer. In wrapped, I didn’t expect to have a great marks since I didn’t come out with the conclusion that I wanted to(LoL….my mind well function again after I came out the room). But the most important thing was I did speak continuously but still stuck on some part. so I guess I might not get much mark on the fluent scheme.
After we’d finish our Task B session, came to the chatting(not on the scheme)the examiner(the Chinese woman) mention about whether we realise that 3 of us are from Sabah. Then Cherise said that surely know me but didn’t expect candidate A also from the same state since she is studying in Polimas(now I still wondering how many of them, I mean Sabah’s student there). The examiner ask again whether we’re enjoying while studying here and I’m excitedly to say that Kedah quite similar with Sabah . Then she asked again about the tickets to come back to Sabah, then we’ve mention we’re able to claim it from government.I’m not so sure she tend to be surprise but she said “ooh” and the men said “whoa”. Wait…I do feels sympathy to the candidate A, she kept silent while Cherise and I talking like we are so close to the examiners. I’m not sure whether anyone of you have this moment.
The moment of walk away from the room like having a wings and ready to fly(hmm…yeah…I still have my child thought). I talk to the candidate A and she said that she took MUET just feel like taking it.I mean not so serious or trying to get great band.Plus she’s studying in Poli for the 6th sem already. I’m not so surprise though. About 10.30am, Cherise and I went to the Cafe to have our Lunch(yeah I know it’s too early, but almost all IPDA’s members do so).Well, I knew I wrote too much already and I have to prepare the 3 more MUET papers.
Hooray! I have my very own experiences for MUET already, but not yet for the other 3 papers.Feels free to comment  to know the tips I used for my  MUET speaking (800/2)^^
